Find a motorcycle instructor training provider

Imported from official source

Find motorcycle instructor training providers that can help your prepare for compulsory basic training (CBT) and direct access scheme (DAS) assessments.

This page lists training providers that offer structured training courses for motorcycle instructors.

These training courses can help you develop teaching skills and prepare you for the DVSA:

They are not a replacement for the official DVSA qualifications.

DVSA does not endorse any specific provider. Being included on this list does not guarantee quality of training.

Check with training providers that any course is right for you before booking.

Training providers can be added to this list if they provide a course that:

  • is specifically designed for motorcycle instructors
  • has a clear structure with defined learning outcomes
  • Email DVSA to apply to be added to the list. Your email must include:

  • a description of how the course specifically supports motorcycle instruction
  • any other related information such as whether the course offers an Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification
  • DVSA will review the information you provide to make sure it meets the criteria before adding you to the list.

DVSA can remove training providers from the list if their approved training body (ATB) does not meet the standards set out by DVSA.
