Ayman M. Al-Sayari, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, has been appointed FSB’s Regional Engagement Chair for a two-year term, starting on 10 August 2026. In some priority areas of FSB work – such as crypto-assets and stablecoins and cross-border payments –, meaningful progress can only be achieved with a good understanding of developments in jurisdictions that are not members of the FSB.
