Official Statistics: Pre-release access to DWP statistics

Job titles of people with pre-release access to Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) statistics and the organisations they belong to.

We’ve published the DWP arrangements for pre-release access to statistics in the interests of openness and transparency.

Departments are required to publish this information by the Pre-release Access to Official Statistics Order 2008. They must publish details of the statistical releases to which the order applies, the job titles of everyone who has pre-release access and the organisations to which they belong.

The pre-release access list is sometimes referred to as the PRA list.

Updated the list of officials with pre-release access to the DWP Annual Benefits Statistics Compendium. The latest release was published on 15 September 2026. This statistical series was previously named DWP Benefits Statistics.

Updated list with pre-release access to DWP benefit sanctions statistics and Winter Fuel Payment. Also updated list under no.35, now renamed 'Universal Credit health'

Under heading 33. Universal Credit we have added, removed and changed roles. The roles that have been added are 'Press Officer, DWP' and 'Policy Advisor, Policy Unit, No. 10. DWP'. Roles that have been removed are: 'Senior Press Officer, DWP', 'Private Secretary, DWP' and 'Chief Press Officer, No. 10'. 'Apprentice Economist' has been replaced by 'Assistant Economist, DWP'.

Removed 'Assistant Private Secretary, Minister for Employment Private Office, DWP' from '18. Get Britain Working: Labour Market Insights'.

The list for pre-release access to 'DWP Complaints statistics' has been updated.

Updated the list of officials with pre-release access to the Benefit cap statistics. The latest release of the statistics was published today, 23 June 2026.

Updated the pre-release access list for Restart scheme statistics. Added a new list for Connect to Work statistics.
