This notice is to inform you of the next application window covering the period 1 October 2026 to 31 May 2027.

This notice is to inform you of the next application window covering the period 1 October 2026 to 31 May 2027.  Details of the quota and quantities available are shown in Annex 1.

Your application must be received between 1 September 2026 and 5pm on 7 September 2026.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your application, all supporting documentation and your security, is correct at the time of submission.

Note: We will reject any applications received after 5pm on 7 September 2026.

We advise you to use the latest version of the application form. You can submit your licence applications by email to [email protected].

  • in box 8, the country of origin, and a cross in the ‘No’ box;
  • in box 15, the full CN code description as “Onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other alliaceous vegetables, fresh or chilled: Garlic”
  • in box 20, ‘Statutory Instrument 2020 No. 1432’ and ‘Quota Order No. 05.4106’
  • If this is the first application in the quota year you must provide evidence to show that you have imported at least 25 tonnes of fruit and vegetables during:

  • the 12-month period ending two months before the first application could have been submitted for the 2026/2027 quota year (1 March 2025 – 28 February 2026)
  • the 12-month period immediately before that (1 March 2024 – 28 February 2025)
  • For reference, the eligible products are listed in Annex 2.

    In addition to the above you must be established and registered for VAT in the UK. You must provide us with a copy of your current VAT registration certificate.

    If you use electronic licences, we will need to see a schedule giving details of:

  • the weight of each electronic attribution
  • the import entry number for each electronic attribution
  • For imports without a licence you must supply a copy of the CDS declarations.

    Your application must be accompanied by a security £60 per tonne.
