Research: Putting people at the centre of UK climate adaptation and resilience

Imported from official source

This report summarises evidence on how placing people at the heart of climate adaptation policy and action can improve outcomes.

The report examines how social science evidence can help improve climate adaptation and resilience policy in the UK. It explores how people’s needs, behaviours, experiences and local contexts affect the way climate risks are experienced and how adaptation measures are understood, taken up and delivered.

Drawing on published social science evidence, expert input and workshops, the report identifies practical ways for policymakers to incorporate social insights into adaptation policy and action. It includes case studies and resources showing how people-centred approaches can support more effective, fair and durable adaptation.
