Guidance: Balai Directive: approved premises

Institutes, centres and premises in Great Britain approved to move animals, semen and embryos covered by the Balai Directive.

Institutes and centres that import and export certain animals under Council Directive 92/65/EEC (Balai Directive) must be approved by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA).

APHA approves and inspects these premises on behalf of Defra, the Scottish Government and Welsh Government.

Updated approval dates for Amazonia, Angus Falconry, Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park, Celtic Raptors UK, Dawn Groom, Hummel Burn Lodge, Lake District Wildlife Park, The Big Cat Sanctuary and Waddesdon Manor. Raptors of Penwith has been renamed DUJA and has an updated approval date.
