Research: Evaluating UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions

The Department for Transport (DfT) launched the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE) programme in March 2022. With total funding of £236 million, the programme was designed to reduce maritime emissions and create skilled jobs across the country by accelerating the research into and development of clean maritime technologies.

UK SHORE phase 1 report and executive summary build on the interim report, including the:

  • final report of the UK SHORE programme between 2021 and 2025
  • final evaluations, assessment of programme impacts and how they can inform future competition design
  • This research report includes an early evaluation of the processes and impact of the UK SHORE programme as a whole and of its schemes.
