Notice: Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club Regatta 2026: river restriction notice
Upstream of Bell Weir Lock (What3Words ///shorts.silver.puff) to Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club Clubhouse (What3Words ///bonds.organs.curl).
The navigation channel will be on the Wraysbury, Berkshire, right side of the river.
Racing boats will be using a buoyed channel on the Egham, Surrey, left side of the river between the Waterworks Inlet on the Wraysbury Bank and the Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club.
Punt racing will also occur alongside the Egham, left bank, from abeam the green coloured refreshment chalet building (What3Words ///cuts.holly.times) for approximately 150 metres upstream.
Regatta boards will mark the upstream and downstream extent of the course.
Masters of all boats must navigate slowly and maintain a proper lookout upon exiting Bell Weir Lock when heading upstream to Runnymede Pleasure Grounds.
Those in charge of all boats must observe any directions given by our Waterways Officers.
Those in charge of boats should also be aware that they are responsible for avoiding collision and should use all available means appropriate to the circumstances and conditions to decide if there is a risk of immediate danger and avoid it.
Bathing or swimming are not allowed in the river in the vicinity of the regatta during these times.
All directions as to left bank and right banks are given looking upstream.
Nothing contained in these directions shall supersede those parts of the Thames Navigation Licensing and General Byelaws 1993 and the UK Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) Regulations 1996 as may be relevant. Particular attention should be paid to byelaws 24-42 of the Thames Navigation Licensing and General Byelaws 1993, Steering Sailing and Speed.
