Notice: Lensbury Fireworks Event 2026: river notice

Teddington reach, The Lensbury, Teddington, TW11 9NU.

The Lensbury annual firework display starting at 8pm and will last approximately 15 minutes.

A significant number of spectator vessels are expected to attend. All river users are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of The Lensbury before, during and after the event.

Powered vessels are required to display navigation lights between sunset and sunrise.

Canoes, kayaks, rowing craft and other manually powered vessels should display suitable lights to ensure they remain visible to other river users.

Vessels are not to obstruct the navigation channel or Teddington Lock cut.

You should keep to a safe speed and be aware of other boats near the event.

You must follow any instructions given from Environment Agency control points or patrol launches.

You are responsible for avoiding collisions. You should use all available means appropriate to the situation to avoid risk.

Exercise particular care when arriving at and departing from the area following the display.

Teddington Lock – River users are advised to check the latest navigation restrictions affecting Teddington Lock before travelling:

Nothing contained in these directions shall supersede those parts of the Thames Navigation Licensing and General Byelaws 1993 and the UK Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) Regulations 1996 as may be relevant. Particular attention should be paid to byelaws 24-42 of the Thames Navigation Licensing and General Byelaws 1993, Steering Sailing and Speed.
