Wild Mooring - Anglian Waterways

Imported from official source

Wild Moorings offer the chance for owners of riverside properties to moor their own boat inline with their property, where the bank is Environment Agency-registered land

You may need to apply for a wild mooring on Environment Agency land, depending on the land type adjacent to the river:

  • image 1,2 and 3 shows situations where Environment Agency land ownership extends from a fence line, road or flood bank across the river
  • image 4 shows a situation where the land next to the river has a riparian owner
  • Environment Agency land ownership from fence line
