APRA publishes statistics on the general insurance industry on a quarterly basis.The industry performance statistics contain aggregate summaries of financial performance and position, investments and capital adequacy. Statistics are also provided at a class of business and state level. The specifications file provides details of the data elements included in this publication. The content in this publication has been updated to reflect the new reporting framework for insurance with effect from 1 July 2023. Users should interpret the data together with the latest Reporting Standards and are encouraged to check data point definitions as outlined in the publication specification available above.
