Apply to make changes to your approval as an authorised excise warehousekeeper

You can use this form to request amendments to an existing excise warehousekeeper, general storage or trade facility warehouse approval. You can apply to:

  • update your business and trading details, such as names, addresses and VAT registration number 
  • change or remove the details of a person in charge of the business 
  • change the point of contact for your warehousekeeper authorisation 
  • add another excise warehouse to your warehousekeeper authorisation 
  • remove an approved excise warehouse from your warehousekeeper authorisation 
  • add products or operations to an approved warehouse premises 
  • remove products or operations from an approved warehouse premises 
  • add an annexe warehouse to approved warehouse premises 
  • remove an annexe warehouse from approved warehouse premises 
  • increase or decrease the approved area of your warehouse premises
  • If you are approved to affix vaping duty stamps as an excise warehousekeeper, you can:

    increase or decrease the quantity of stamps you require

    change your contact email address used by the HMRC-approved stamp supplier

    You must tell HMRC as soon as possible. You must wait for approval before you make any of the requested changes. 

    To apply, you must use a Government Gateway ID that is linked to a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number for either:

  • warehouse premises details, including name, address, type of warehouse and the type of goods that will be stored there 
  • details of operations you wish to carry out on goods at the warehouse, if applicable 
  • details of any annexe warehouses, if applicable  
  • You’ll need to sign in to apply online. If you do not already have sign in details, you’ll be able to create them. 

    Contact HMRC in writing to ask for a paper form, if you: 

  • object to using computers on religious grounds
