FabCon and SQLCon 2026 in Barcelona: Building the data foundation for Microsoft Copilot and agents
AI Classified by Officially
One of the defining strengths of the Fabric and SQL communities is how openly people share what they are building and learning. This week, nearly 5,000 data professionals are coming together in Barcelona to do exactly that. Across more than 130 sessions, more than 10 tutorials, community meetups, and roundtable discussions, attendees will exchange practical insights and real-world experiences that others can apply in their own organizations.
The excitement in Barcelona mirrors the momentum we’re seeing throughout Microsoft’s data portfolio. Microsoft Fabric now supports more than 40,000 customers worldwide, and for decades Microsoft SQL Server has provided the backbone of enterprise workloads including more than 90% of the Fortune 500. Customers like Levi Strauss, H&M, and Thomson Reuters are using these capabilities to unify their data estates, ground AI in their business context, and scale while remaining governed and secure.
Today, we’re announcing new innovations across Microsoft Fabric and our database portfolio designed to help organizations power their Frontier Transformation, including deep integrations with the new Microsoft Copilot, agentic app development in Microsoft Power BI, end-to-end observability in Fabric, the database hub, and more.
Enabling Frontier Transformation with Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Fabric
Software development has changed dramatically. AI is no longer simply helping developers write code faster. Agents are beginning to work across the full development lifecycle, from planning and coding to testing and deployment.
The opportunity now is to bring that same transformation to the rest of the enterprise. But organizations need more than models and agents. They need trusted context: governed data, shared business definitions, operational knowledge, and the guardrails that help AI act reliably.
