Research: Bovine TB: epidemiology reports 2025

Imported from official source

These reports cover the counties or regions that make up the Low Risk Area (LRA) and other counties of England selected for a focus county report in 2025.

They supplement the regional breakdowns of the official bovine tuberculosis (TB) statistics published quarterly. They provide cattle keepers and other interested parties with an overview of the bovine TB situation in their area.

The reports pull together descriptive statistics on new and ongoing bovine TB herd incidents in the LRA (at county or regional level) and selected focus counties, including:

  • regional or county maps of the distribution of new and ongoing bovine TB herd incidents
  • assessments by Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) vets and a new data-driven methodology on the likely sources of infection for new TB incidents occurring in each county
