New Eurodac enters into operation

The new Eurodac system has entered into operation, together with key components of the EU interoperability architecture: the European Search Portal (ESP), the Common Identity Repository (CIR), and the shared Biometric Matching Service (sBMS). This marks an important milestone in the implementation of the updated Eurodac Regulation, the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, and the wider interoperability framework.
