EUROCONTROL European Aviation Overview 2026 - Week 25
EUROCONTROL's European Aviation Overview provides a detailed snapshot of the latest network trends. It uses the latest traffic data to show how States, airports and airlines are performing, with further analysis of key topics, such as delays and fuel prices. The network averaged 35,319 daily flights in Week 25, up 1% compared to Week 24 and 2% higher than in 2025. Following the 17 June US-Iran agreement, flights between Europe and the Middle East rebounded strongly, increasing by 11% week-on-week, and by 7% compared with the same period in 2025. The recovery was driven largely by the three major Gulf carriers (Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, and Emirates) which recorded a combined 16% increase in flights in Week 25 compared to Week 24. On average, the busiest 10 carriers improved their capacity by 1.1% compared to the previous week. At State level, the busiest 10 States recorded a 1.1% increase in flights compared to the previous week. Network arrival and departure punctuality were 76.0% and 70.1%, better than the equivalent week in 2025.
