Kristen Michal: NATO Decisions in Ankara Will Make the Alliance Stronger and Estonia More Secure

Ankara, 8 July 2026 – The decisions adopted at the NATO Ankara Summit are in line with Estonia's expectations. In light of the long-term threat posed by Russia, Allies reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the 5% defence spending target agreed at The Hague and strong support for Ukraine. The Summit also provided a much-needed boost to the defence industry and adopted decisions to strengthen air defence.
