Kristen Michal: Drone agreement with Ukraine benefits both Estonia’s defence industry and defence capabilities

Ankara, 7 July 2026 – Today, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a drone cooperation agreement during a bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara. The agreement marks an important step in deepening defence cooperation between Estonia and Ukraine. In addition to cooperation on drones, the agreement will enable closer collaboration in knowledge exchange, technology development and industrial cooperation. It will facilitate the sharing of expertise and experience in the fields of IT, cybersecurity and defence.
