Estonia to use EU SAFE loan to strengthen defence capabilities

Estonia has signed a SAFE (Security Action for Europe) loan agreement with the European Commission, enabling the country to borrow up to EUR 2.34 billion in long-term financing for defence investments. The loan will accelerate the implementation of defence capability development plans prepared by the Ministry of Defence.
