Estonia a frontrunner in implementing EU funds
At today’s meeting of the EU General Affairs Council (GAC) in Brussels, focus was on the future of cohesion policy and the use of structural funds in the 2014–2020 period, with Estonia and Lithuania being the only countries that have received 100% of this period’s funds. The key question at the ministerial meeting was how to ensure a faster and more flexible use of funds in the future and thereby bolster the competitiveness of the European economy.
