Keskkonnaamet on praeguseks üle riigi andnud 13 eriluba karude küttimiseks, tänase seisuga on nendest realiseeritud kaks – Harjumaal ja Põlvamaal. Eriloa karu küttimiseks saab anda üksnes korduvate karukahjustuste vältimiseks ja ohusituatsioonide ennetamiseks.
