Norway provides guarantee for new solar power project in South Africa

South Africa is struggling with unreliable and innsufficient power , while many energy projects are stalled due to high levels of investment risk. Norway has just issued a state guarantee of up to NOK 150 million to a solar power trading platform. This will enable the Norwegian company Scatec to build and operate the Thakadu Solar power plant.
