Influencers misleiden jongeren met nepwinsten uit illegale casino’s

Influencers spelen in deze video’s vaak niet met hun eigen geld. Zij ontvangen bonusgeld of ‘nep speeltegoed’ van illegale gokbedrijven, dat onbeperkt wordt aangevuld. Hierdoor lijken zij de hele tijd te winnen. Voor kijkers ontstaat een beeld waarbij het normaal is dat je wint, terwijl dit in het echt helemaal niet waar is.

Als je zelf gaat spelen bij een illegaal gokbedrijf, wat dus verboden is, gok je wél met echt geld. Daarbij loop je serieuze risico’s:

  • je hebt geen enkele zekerheid dat je jouw geld ontvangt als je hebt gewonnen;
  • je deelt mogelijk privégegevens (paspoort, bankrekeningnummer, etc.) met een criminele partij, waarvan je niet weet wat die met jouw gegevens doet;
  • je kunt niet bij illegale gokbedrijven terecht als het misgaat.
  • Illegale gokbedrijven houden zich niet aan regels voor leeftijdscontrole, speellimieten en het voorkomen van gokverslaving.
