Íslensk stjórnvöld hafa tryggt loftferðaréttindi á Filippseyjum. Samkomulag um loftferðir milli ríkjanna og texti nýs loftferðasamnings var áritaður 18. ágúst að afloknum viðræðum milli ríkjanna sem fram fóru í Reykjavík.
