Ný sóttvarnalög taka gildi
Í dag, 1. september 2026, taka gildi ný sóttvarnalög nr. 40/2026 og leysa af hólmi sóttvarnalög frá árinu 1997. Lögin voru samþykkt á Alþingi 21. apríl síðastliðinn eftir umfangsmikla endurskoðun löggjafar um sóttvarnir.
