Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) PRESS RELEASE Release Date: September 29, 2026 Liquid Reserves of Financial Institutions (August 2026) 1. For the month of August 2026, liabilities subject to liquid reserve requirements totaled NT$55,888.6 billion, of which deposits totaled NT$54,991.7 billion accounting for 98.40% of the total. Based on the statutory minimum liquid reserve ratio of 10%, the required liquid reserves amounted to NT$5,588.9 billion. 2. For the month of August 2026, actual liquid reserve assets totaled NT$13,146.5 billion, representing an increase of NT$311.7 billion from the previous month. By category, the primary components were as follows (Table 1): (1) Certificates of deposit issued by the Bank amounted to NT$5,679.3 billion accounting for 43.20% of the total, an increase of NT$417.6 billion from the previous month.
