Central Bank of the Republic of China(Taiwan) PRESS RELEASE Release Date: September 23, 2026 Monetary Aggregates For the month of August 2026, the monthly growth rates of the monetary aggregates M1B and M2(measured on a daily average basis)were 0.72% and 0.65%, respectively. The annual growth rates of M1B and M2 decreased to 6.65% and 6.79%. The decline in the M2 growth rate was mainly because of slower growth in foreign currency deposits and passbook savings deposits. For the first eight months of this year, the average annual growth rates of M1B and M2 were 7.71% and 6.62%, respectively. Loans and Investments of Financial Institutions At the end of August 2026, the monthly growth rate of total outstanding loans and investments(measured on a cost basis)of monetary financial institutions was 0.93%.
