The document seriously distorts and ignores the objective status quo. MOFA solemnly protests and strongly condemns China’s government for continuing to manipulate the international community, for demanding that the governments of other nations accept its unilateral political narrative that disrupts peace and stability, and for issuing absurd statements that denigrate Taiwan’s sovereignty. MOFA reiterates that no narrative aiming to undermine the nation’s sovereignty can change the objective reality that the Republic of China (Taiwan) is a sovereign and independent country and that neither it nor the People’s Republic of China is subordinate to the other.
