Vice Minister of Finance met with residents of Almaty region
Today, on September 14, 2026, Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Birzhanov, met with residents, business owners, public representatives, and the media in Konayev city. The event was attended by residents of the region, representatives of business and the media. The parties discussed issues of tax and customs legislation, the development of digital services, as well as issues of concern to citizens and business. In his opening remarks, Kanat Esbolatov, First Deputy Akim of the Almaty Region, emphasized the importance of feedback from the public and of jointly discussing issues that affect the interests of citizens and entrepreneurs. During the meeting, it was noted that the tax reform provides for a gradual transition from a predominantly fiscal model to a service model of tax administration. The main emphasis is placed on simplifying procedures, developing digital services, applying risk-oriented control methods and reducing the administrative burden on law-abiding business.
