The government reviewed preliminary results of economic development for the first nine months

At a meeting of the Economic Growth Headquarters chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, preliminary results of economic growth for the first nine months were reviewed. The main drivers of GDP growth remain construction, manufacturing, transportation and warehousing, trade, and agriculture. In the manufacturing industry, the volume of physical volume growth is expected to continue in January–September. The main contributors are mechanical engineering and the chemical industry. In the first eight months of 2026, passenger car production in mechanical engineering increased by 34.2%, reaching 117,200 units. Production of trucks and special-purpose vehicles increased by 18.5%, railway platforms by 76.6%, and passenger cars by 40.9%. In the chemical industry, sulfuric acid production increased by 4%, polypropylene by 24.5%, and ammophos by 10.3%. Meanwhile, the volume of physical volume growth in metallurgy remains at 97.5%.
