Kazakhstan ranks 32nd globally in accreditation development according to the Global Quality Infrastructure Index 2025 Kazakhstan ranked 32nd globally in terms of accreditation development, according to the 2025 Global Quality Infrastructure Index (GQII). In the overall GQII 2025 ranking, Kazakhstan placed 48th among 185 countries. The country’s performance is assessed across three key components of national quality infrastructure: accreditation, metrology and standardisation. Kazakhstan recorded its highest position in accreditation, ranking 32nd. The country ranked 43rd in metrology and 70th in standardisation. Accreditation is one of the key elements of quality infrastructure. It provides formal recognition of the competence of conformity assessment bodies, including testing and calibration laboratories, certification bodies and inspection bodies. An effective accreditation system helps strengthen confidence in testing, measurement and certification results and creates conditions for their international recognition.
