Public Council under the Ministry of Trade and Integration discusses key domestic market issues

The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a regular meeting of its Public Council with the participation of Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev. The meeting focused on the regulation of real estate services, consumer rights protection, ensuring fair competition and improving legislation. Particular attention was paid to issues related to the real estate services market. Public Council member Marlen Smailov stressed the need for transparent and clear rules for market participants, stronger consumer protection and greater responsibility among real estate agents. Among the key challenges discussed were the lack of a unified state register and mandatory accreditation for real estate agents, the absence of common service standards, limited transparency in pricing and insufficiently regulated mechanisms for handling consumer complaints.
