Serving the nation is a noble ideal

September 5 is the birthday of the great teacher, founder of Kazakh linguistics and literary studies, public figure Akhmet Baitursynuly. This day is celebrated in the country as the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. In honor of these significant dates, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan with Alash scholar, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of Nazarbayev University Aigul Ismakova. The meeting discussed the place of Akhmet Baitursynuly in the spiritual life of the Kazakh people and his invaluable contribution to the development of the national language. The scholar elaborated on the merits of the teacher of the nation in forming the foundations of Kazakh linguistics, the research that shaped the scientific system of the language, and his positions on issues of alphabet and orthography.
