Singapore, 28 September 2026 – There were brief showers over the northern and eastern parts of Singapore this afternoon. As at 6pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 64 – 138 µg/m3, in Band 2 (Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 68 – 94 in the Moderate range. 2.         Moderate to dense smoke haze from fires in southern Sumatra and Kalimantan drifted to Singapore. 3.         Dry conditions are expected to persist over southern Sumatra and parts of Kalimantan. While some showers are forecast over Singapore tomorrow, there remains a risk of smoke haze affecting Singapore with the prevailing winds expected to blow from the east or southeast. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the High Moderate to Mid Unhealthy range. 4.         The health impact of haze is dependent on one’s health status, the PSI level, and the length and intensity of outdoor activity.
