Am 24.08.2026 laufen diverse e-dec Systemzertifikate auf der Produktion- und Abnahmeumgebung aus. Es handelt sich um Zertifikate, welche Zollkunden benutzen, um Zollanmeldungen per Mail elektronisch zu verschlüsseln und an e-dec zu schicken. Dasselbe Zertifikat wird auch von den Zollkunden benutzt, um die Signatur der SMIME Mails zu prüfen, die e-dec als Antworten auf die Zollanmeldung schickt.
