The Canadian Coast Guard’s Inshore Rescue Boat stations in Quebec are winding down seasonal maritime search and rescue services, starting September 7 at 8:00 p.m.
Stations will close progressively throughout the region, according to the following schedule:
The public can report an incident 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by calling the Quebec Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre at 1-800-463-4393 or by using a marine VHF radio (Channel 16).
The Inshore Rescue Boat student program employs post-secondary students to provide an additional maritime search and rescue service throughout the summer season. For more information, please visit: Inshore Rescue Boat service - Canada.ca
