Notice: Benson Lock Repair works 2026: river closure notice
8am on Monday 9 November until 5pm on Monday 21 December 2026.
Benson Lock will be closed to navigation to enable engineers to undertake essential repair works to the lock chamber.
No passage through the look will be possible at any time whilst works are ongoing.
Works will be dependent on the current river conditions.
We will update the River Thames: restrictions and closures - GOV.UK when further information becomes available.
