Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of Ammonium chloride (AmoklorTM) as zootechnical feed additive for sows. The additive is already authorised for its use in ruminants, cats and dogs, and in sows from the 9th to the 11th week of gestion and from the 15th week of gestations until the first week of lactation. The aim of the current application is to modify the terms of the authorisation in sows to cover the entire gestation and the first week of lactation.
