Celebrating World Animal Day: animal welfare is our shared responsibility

World Animal Day, observed on 4 October, is dedicated to improving animal welfare worldwide. Slovenia is committed to continuously improving the way we treat animals and raising awareness that animals kept by humans should not be merely as means of production or property. As sentient beings they deserve our care, attention and respect.
