Finnish Government awards EUR 18.3 million in grants for TNT production facility

The Ministry of Defence has awarded EUR 18 255 000 in discretionary government grants to Forcit Pori Oy Ab for the construction of a TNT production facility in Pori, Finland.
Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen made the decision on 9 October 2026.
The United States has granted financial support for the production facility project, and this support is channelled to Forcit through the grant awarded by the Finnish Government. The Ministry of Defence made public the United States’ support for the project on 15 September 2026.
The new TNT production facility will produce TNT for Finland’s and NATO’s needs and will enable long-term support to Ukraine.
