Community Connect: welcome and alignment session of the stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products
On 17 June 2026, the online Community Connect: welcome and alignment session of the stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products took place, bringing together over 100 participants, including community members, EFSA staff and representatives from the European Commission and Member States. The meeting marked the second session addressed to the entire community, following the kick-off meeting held in 2025. It aimed to build on the foundations established during the community’s first year, while welcoming and integrating new members.
Following opening remarks by EFSA and the European Commission, EFSA provided an overview of the community’s composition and engaged participants through interactive audience polls to introduce themselves and share their areas of activity. Subsequently, the updated Terms of Reference were presented, highlighting key elements and practical examples, and outlining the process for incorporating feedback from the community. Information was also provided on the community’s working methods and interaction channels, with a particular focus on the Teams platform as the main community space for exchanges.
