Investment Decision Assurance Policy

This policy sets out the new independent Investment Decision Assurance (IDA) process for central government funded investments in New Zealand. It consolidates and replaces the Treasury’s Gateway framework and the Infrastructure Commission’s Infrastructure Priorities Programme.The requirements outlined in this document apply until this document is updated or replaced. This document is scheduled for review in 2027 to ensure clarity of audience, integrity of assurance independence, and alignment with Cabinet expectations.
