Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of Heyndrickxia faecalis (formerly identified as Weizmannia faecalis) DSM 32016 (TechnoSpore50®) as a zootechnical feed additive (functional group: gut flora stabiliser) for calves for fattening/rearing, and other bovines, ovines, caprines, cervids and camelids at the corresponding developmental stage. The strain was earlier identified as belonging to H. faecalis species, showed no toxigenic potential, and harboured no acquired antimicrobial resistance genes.
