Announcement

On June 2, 2024, we held a cruise at "Fashion Use of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate Event Hitachinaka City Hitachinaka," a commercial facility in Newport, Ibaraki.

The Use of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate Event uses a demonstration model of the My Number Card scanning device (card reader with face recognition) that has actually been installed at medical institutions. This is an initiative to enable people to use the identity verification at medical institutions with peace of mind by allowing them to experience My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate using face recognition and operating the screen related to consenting to information provision.

Comments from citizens who actually used the card reader included: "I had no chance to use the card reader before, so I'm glad I was able to use it," "It's good to know that registration for use of health insurance cards in My Number Card can be done directly by using the card reader at medical institutions." In addition, there were many people who already use My Number Card at medical institutions, etc. instead of paper health insurance cards.

Field Trip by State Minister for Digital Transformation ISHIKAWA

State Minister for Digital Transformation Ishikawa toured the Fashion Cruise Newport Hitachinaka. Together with visitors and local residents, he used his own My Number Card to operate a card reader and experienced identity verification with facial recognition.

In response to questions from reporters after the experience, he said, "I want to steadily increase the usage ratio of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate through experience events and other means."
