The Digital Agency Dashboard Series won the Good Design Best 100

At the 2026 Good Design Awards, the Digital Agency Dashboard Series was awarded the Good Design Best 100.

The Good Design Award is sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. Launched in 1957, this is the only comprehensive design evaluation and recommendation system in Japan, in which products and services from all industries are examined and selected.

Digital Agency What is Dashboard Series?

The Digital Agency Dashboard Series is an initiative to publish policy-related data that is difficult to use in the past as a dashboard, so that people involved in policymaking at the national and local governments and in semi-public sector can make appropriate decisions and actions. The main data is the progress of DX (digital transformation) in administration, medicine, education, etc., as well as the financial and management indicators of the operating entity. It is visualized in a way that is easy for anyone to understand and use.

In order for the national government to promote policies, it is necessary to have the understanding and cooperation of various stakeholders, including the parliament, local governments, companies, and citizens. However, the majority of policy-related data possessed and disclosed by the government to date has been in a variety of data formats, and it has been time-consuming to aggregate and compare data at the necessary granularity. As a result, it has been difficult to use it as a consensus building tool, and it has been an obstacle to the smooth implementation of policies.
