Minister Lightbound to announce support for Canada’s automobile industry
The Honourable Joël Lightbound, Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement and Quebec Lieutenant, on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, will make an announcement in support of a cleaner vehicle manufacturing industry.
October 15, 2026 – Sainte-Claire, Quebec
The Honourable Joël Lightbound, Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement and Quebec Lieutenant, on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, will make an announcement in support of a cleaner vehicle manufacturing industry.

Media should arrive at 10:15 am. The facility tour will begin at 10:30 am, followed by a press conference at 11:00 am. Please note that long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for the facility tour.
