Environment Agency consultation on a Resource Framework for Aggregate from Inert Waste

Imported from official source

Resource Frameworks (previously known as Quality Protocols) set out end of waste criteria for producing and using products from specific waste streams. They help ensure that fully recovered waste-derived products can be used safely and appropriately, support the circular economy, and increase confidence in the quality of materials made from waste.

We are consulting on the draft Resource Framework for Aggregate from Inert Waste, which has been developed in partnership with the United Resource Operators Consortium (UROC), CL:AIRE and Network Rail through a technical advisory group (TAG). The TAG membership was deliberately kept small to enable the framework to be developed efficiently and reach this consultation stage.

Now that the TAG process has concluded and a draft Resource Framework has been produced, we want your views on the proposed framework, the approach taken to develop it, and whether you agree that the requirements for achieving end of waste status have been met. Your feedback will help inform our decision on the final Resource Framework and its requirements.
