UPDATE: An in-person meeting of Federal, Provincial and Territorial (FPT) Ministers of Health will take place October 16, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

October 16, 2026, Winnipeg MB – An in-person meeting of Federal, Provincial and Territorial (FPT) Ministers of Health will take place October 16, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The October 16 meeting will be co-chaired by the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Federal Minister of Health and the Honourable Uzoma Asagwara, Manitoba’s Minister of Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care.

Ministers Michel and Asagwara will co-chair the FPT Meeting. A news conference will take place after this meeting.

  • Accredited on-site media check-in: 1:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. (CT)

    • Pre-registration for media accreditation

    Media must register in advance to attend the news conferences in person or via Zoom.
