Thank you for your e-mail of 6 September 2023, in which you ask for a copy of all Meeting Minutes applicable to the FSR’s Digital Forensics specialist group since the start of 2014. Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Section 21(1) of the FOIA exempts the Forensic Science Regulator from having to provide you with this information, because it is already reasonably accessible to you.

The Digital Forensics Specialist Group (DFSG) did meet on the 3 November 2022, and a draft minute was produced, these minutes have not yet been published, as they have not been signed off by the Chair and the Specialist Group. Specialist Group minutes are signed off at the next meeting for publication, and there has not been another meeting of the Specialist Group held. Once the specialist Group meeting has been held and the minutes have been signed off by the chair and specialist group they will be published here: Membership - Forensic Science Regulator - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

If you are dissatisfied with this response you may request an independent internal review of our handling of your request by submitting a complaint within two months to [email protected], quoting reference FSR-FOI-0017. If you ask for an internal review, it would be helpful if you could say why you are dissatisfied with the response.

As part of any internal review the Department’s handling of your information request would be reassessed by staff who were not involved in providing you with this response. If you were to remain dissatisfied after an internal review, you would have a right of complaint to the Information Commissioner as established by section 50 of the FOIA.
