whitetip-invest(.)de: Bafin warns consumers about website and identity fraud

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bafin) warns consumers about the services offered on the website whitetip-invest(.)de. Bafin suspects the unknown operators of the website of offering consumers financial and investment services without the required authorisation.

Contrary to the website operators’ claims, there is no connection between this website and the company Whitetip Investments A.E.P.E.Y. based in Greece. This is a case of identity fraud. Whitetip Investments A.E.P.E.Y. has no connection whatsoever to the website whitetip-invest(.)de and the services this website offers.

Bafin is issuing this warning on the basis of section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (KWG).

Bafin, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and the German state criminal police offices (Landeskriminalämter) warn consumers to watch out for internet-based financial fraud.
